The Platform at Kapula

The Platform is situated approximately 3km from the Main Kapula Camp, and due to its remote location is suitable for the seasoned bush traveler. The Platform provides exclusivity deep in the African Bush.

The Platform can take a maximum of 4 guests where the bedding is supplied in bedrolls. When there are only two guests then the unused beds will be stacked in the corner out of the way.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with fridge and gas cooker top. Due to its remote location, and in order to provide exclusivity, the platform is not serviced on a daily basis however should the guests require any additional services the Kapula staff must be notified.

The lower ground floor level has a shower, toilet and basin with hot and cold running water as well as an outdoor kitchen sink for washing up.

The ground floor has a canvas enclosed storage area, which alternatively could be used as accommodation. This enclosure could be utilized for a guide. (Own bedding to be supplied as there are only a maximum of 4 beds available.)

The Platform is overlooking a waterhole and the front section facing the waterhole is enclosed with a wooden barrier/boma, and the back section is mesh fence with an entrance gate which is to remain closed at all times.

There is a steel drum enclosure in which a fire can be made in the evenings with table and chairs appropriately positioned.

Please note that the road to the Platform is through thick Mopani scrub and care must be taken to ensure that any animals encountered on this road must be given time to move away and the necessary safety precautions must be strictly observed.

Kapula's friendly staff will service and clean the camp daily, make the fires for the hot water and the fires for the evening braais.
